Stanford Hospital visit June 9 to 12 and on

I am scheduled to have an angiogram on June 9, during which time they will look to make sure my stent is working properly, check the status of the right tricuspid to see the amount of leaking, and look for any other defects which could be causing my fatigue; they will also do a liver biopsy through the same vein in my groin to determine if there are irregularities there. Then a decision will be made whether to go ahead with the valve surgery on June 12, if no other findings are made.
I will stay overnight in the hospital June 9 and probably be released June 10. If I am to have surgery, I will have pre-op on June 11 and surgery with Dr. Oyer on Friday, June 12. Dr. Oyer is the same excellent cardiac surgery who did the pericardiectomy on me October 2000; this time they will have to cut into the heart, put me on the heart/lung machine, and repair the valve by placing a ring which will allow the valve to close properly. My cardiologist, Dr. David Liang, will be in charge of my case.
John will be calling updates after the angiogram and surgery to my daughters, who will update the website on a regular basis. You may send emails to lhill1950@gmail.com and my daughter will get them to me; funny jokes will be appreciated.
If I do have surgery, the doctor said I will be in the hospital for 7 to 10 days. I will appreciate funny cards which can be sent to Stanford Hospital & Clinics
