Update June 28th, Sunday, 10:37 PM

Maybe, Linda'a last night at Stanford. She made three trips around the floor, slept and ate wonderful food created by her friend Pam. The wound will be examined and repacked tomorrow and the doctors will determine if she is ready to go to Healdsburg. The hospital is filled with sick people and it is hard to imagine that they have anywhere near the care and concern reflected by all of linda's friends and family. We hope the discharge planning and release procedures go smoothly so that we can get out of here before the traffic is too bad. Good night. John

    Good Morning: I hope by the time you read this that you are comfortably settled in your Daddy's home and resting quietly. Sorry the hospital has been so chaotic. You are always on our mind here and we are trying to send as many positive vibes your way as we can. The weather here has been absolutely wonderful...blue sky every day and temps in the high 60s. Today is our first day of morning fog in about 5 days. It is suppose to stay this way now with fog burning off before noon. I love this time of year in Eureka. Guess I better get back to work. Today is Mary Harpers last day of work. She is looking forward to being offically retired tomorrow and has a stack of books ready for reading. I will be covering the Reception Desk every morning from 8-8:30 and also the lunch hour. Shannon has been on vacation for 2 weeks and won't be back until next week. Rich has been in Oregon with a very ill father. He called today to say his dad had passed away and he will be in Oregon handling funeral and financial affairs for at least 2 more weeks. I have a jury summons for tomorrow. Hopefully they will let me go and I can still cover for the Comm. Center. Why do they always wait for summer to summons me? Oh well...off to work I go. Love you!!
